Amy Shir

Amy Shir, LHOME’s President and CEO, has been a national leader in financial empowerment efforts for twenty years.  Prior to running LHOME, Ms. Shir consulted for the Assets For Independence “AFI” Program for the Office of Community Services, Administration for Children and Families, Department of Health and Human Services.  Ms. Shir’s past experiences include serving as: Senior Municipal Bond Analyst for Moody’s Investors Service; Investment Banker and SVP leading the Marketing Department for NationsBank GA: Director of Marketing for Security First, the World’s First Internet Bank; Director of the refugee IDA program at Jewish Family and Career Services and President of a bank marketing consulting company with international clients. Ms. Shir also founded the Kentucky Asset Building Coalition and chaired the Kentucky Coalition for Responsible Lending.  Ms. Shir serves on the Executive Committee for Bank on Louisville and the Louisville Asset Building Coalition.  She also serves on Metro Louisville’s Resilience Steering Committee.  Ms. Shir holds an MPA in state and local finance from Syracuse University’s Maxwell School and a BA in psychology from Wesleyan University.  Ms. Shir lives in Louisville, KY.
